This half-day medieval Santorini tour focuses on the island’s fascinating past, when pirates ruled the Aegean and local life was shaped by fear, faith, and survival.
We explore traditional villages where Venetian noble families once lived inside fortified settlements known as Kastelia (small castles), built to protect themselves from pirate attacks. At the same time, poorer villagers carved cave houses into the volcanic rock, creating entire underground neighborhoods.
During the tour, we admire the unique architecture, learn about local history, and dive into the myths, superstitions, and folklore of Santorini. Expect stories of demons and vampires — the kind of tales Greek yayas (grandmothers) used to share by candlelight.
The experience ends with a journey through the dramatic volcanic landscapes and the incredible colors that make Santorini so unique.

- Visit Vlychada Bay, where pumice stone has shaped surreal colors
- Final stop at the Red Beach for a quick photo opportunity.
