Before Santorini became the popular island it is today, the locals were mainly farmers, producing and exporting wine since 3000 BC.
The wine produced in this small volcanic island has special characteristics and the way it is cultivated is extremely interesting.
As it was the main source of income , their lives , traditions, songs , the way they built their houses revolved around the winemaking process .
This is the part we are focusing on this tour by visiting some of their traditional villages and then tasting 3 of the most representative wines .
